It’s been a long time since we saw the names Ryan and Reese in the same conversation, but in Hollywood, exes have a very funny way of creeping back into someone’s life…and conversation. And it seems that even Reese Witherspoon is not exempt from this, as here she is seen out and about shopping at the trendy Brentwood Country Mart looking just ever so fabulous. But you know, what’s really going on with her? It sounds like her and Ryan are being found in the same conversation again, as former Hollywood golden couple Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe seem to be following a suspiciously similar relationship trajectory. We would think someone as sweet and seemingly innocent as Reese Witherspoon wouldn’t have much to gab about, but….really? Let’s see if we can follow these two. Phillippe split with long-time girlfriend, Australian actress Abbie Cornish a month ago just after Witherspoon bid adieu to her leading man of two years, actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Now the parents of two have been spotted holding hands in public for the first time with their new flames - within days of each other. The “New York Post” reports Phillippe walked into the launch party for Snoop Doggs latest album at the Roosevelt Hotel on Monday night - Witherspoon’s birthday - holding a pretty brunette’s hand and kissing her throughout the bash. A source said the mystery woman was in her 20s, had long dark brown hair and wore “very tight jeans,” adding that she and Phillippe shared four bottles of champagne with friends. Just two days before, Witherspoon had been photographed enjoying a cozy birthday weekend getaway with her hunky new boyfriend, CAA agent Jim Toth. The low-key duo was snapped in ball caps and sweats, strolling hand-in-hand through a farmer’s market in Ojai, California, where the bubbly blonde star has a vacation home. They were papped again mid-week back in L.A. loading up on groceries and wine and looking very much like a comfortable old married couple. Life and Style magazine reports the lovebirds have gone from casual to committed in a matter of weeks. “They spend several nights a week together,” said a source, adding that Toth, who had a reputation for being a player in the past, lost his father last year and has since “reassessed his life.” “Jim feels it’s time to settle down. He’s definitely grown up from his younger days as a cocky agent.” While Witherspoon, 34, seems to be focused these days on revelling in her red-hot relationship, her career is about to take centre stage again. She recently signed up to star in “The Pioneer Woman,” about a woman who falls in love with a cowboy while on a cross-country road trip and winds up living on an Oklahoma ranch. The LA Times reports the Oscar-winner is also in talks to star in the new rodeo love story, “Paper Wings,” opposite Tom Cruise, who would play a rodeo champion who falls for an up-and-coming country singer, played by Witherspoon. Well, it is sweet that Reese has a smile on her face again, and since we like her so much, we won’t whine about where the smile is coming from. As for Ryan? Well, it doesn’t sound like he’s changed much, has it? And it seems that the only way he can get back in the same sentence with Reese Witherspoon is if he is seen with a drunk skank on the night of Reese’s birthday. Shocking. |

Romance Film With Tom Cruise

Reese may soon be singing country music again for an upcoming movie. Reese is reported to be co-starring with Tom Cruise in a romance film called “Paper Wings.” Reese has already won an Oscar for best actress, playing a country singer in “Walk The Line.”“Paper Wings” is to be about a rodeo champion who falls in love with a singer on the verge of stardom. Looks like Tom Cruise is re-inventing his action-adventure persona, and becoming a “action-romance” actor. His new film with Cameron Diaz, “Knight And Day” hits theaters in June.

Actress Reese Witherspoon is set to assume the role of a real life judge for a
pioneering women’s awards ceremony.
The Oscar-winner/campaigner will oversee the nominations and winners of
Empowering Women’s Awards that will honour victims of domestic violence.
“Domestic violence affects one in four women in the U.K. and many are
suffering in silence. It’s so important that we find a way to reach out in every
community and offer our understanding, protection and support,”
the Daily
Star quoted her as telling Marie Claire magazine.
“I’m very proud to be part of the first ever Avon and Women’s Aid Empowerment
Awards in association with Marie Claire, drawing attention to the bravery of
some incredible women who have stood up against domestic violence, and
celebrating the achievements of others who are determined to end this
debilitating pandemic,” she added.
Witherspoon will also share the judging panel with others including Sarah Brown,
the wife of Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and TV chef Gordon Ramsay’s wife Tana.

Columbia Pictures has made a deal to develop The Pioneer Woman, a romantic
comedy that's being shaped as a potential star vehicle for Reese Witherspoon.
The studio has acquired rights to thepioneerwoman.com, a blog by Ree Drummond
that details how a detour on a trip from L.A. to Chicago led her to Oklahoma.
There, she met the cowboy of her dreams and transformed from spoiled city girl
to domestic ranch wife.
Laura Ziskin and Pam Williams will produce. Drummond wrote a bestselling
cookbook, and has turned her homespun tales into Black Heels to Tractor Wheels,
a book that will be published by William Morrow next Valentine’s Day.
Drummond has a large following for a blog she writes from the cattle ranch that
covers everything from cooking to tips on home schooling. The film will explore
the fantasy of trading big city living for a wholesome simpler life. Rights to
the book are part of the deal brokered by UTA and LJK Literary Management.

Reese Witherspoon goes strapless in Jason Wu at the Vital Voices
2010 Global Leadership Awards at The Kennedy Center on Wednesday (March 10) in
Washington, D.C.
The 33-year-old star jokingly complained that her Legally Blonde character Elle
Woods is no longer the most stylish woman in Washington. She shared, “As an
actress, I have always sought out roles that portrayed women as strong and
powerful, such as Elle Woods, who was in the Legally Blonde movies. [Elle]
happened to be the biggest fashionista who ever came to Washington until
Michelle Obama. Thanks a lot.”

Reese pretties up in RM by Roland Mouret’s “Circe” dress for a
breakfast meeting to launch the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Women
held inside the U.S Department Of State’s Benjamin Franklin Diplomatic Room in
Washington D.C., on Wednesday morning (March 10).
The event is a collaboration between Avon, the State Department and Vital
Voices, which works with women leaders in the areas of economic empowerment,
women’s political participation, and human rights. The Global Partnership was
formed in response to the nearly one billion women who will be affected by
violence in their lifetime.

Reese was spotted leaving her home in Brentwood, CA (March 3)
looking rather disheveled sporting sweatpants, Ugg boots and a ponytail. She
made the most of her time in the car as she arrived at her final destination in
a completely new outfit looking very polished and put together.
Obviously the busy mother of two knows how to make the most of her time!
Next up for Miss Witherspoon? Production on Water for Elephants, an upcoming
drama about a veterinary student who abandons his studies after his parents are
killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet. (Mr Robert Pattinson is next
star)

They’re both big fashion fans, so it’s no wonder Reese
Witherspoon and Renee Zellweger were both spotted at the Vera Wang store
launch in Hollywood last night (March 2).
The “Legally Blonde” babe and the “Bridget Jones” actress both looked lovely as
they posed for the paparazzi outside the newly-opened boutique. And Reese and
Renee weren’t the only Hollywood hotties in attendance- stars like Mila Kunis,
